What's important to know is that there are two popular types of Prebonded Hair Extensions–nail tip and stick tip hair extensions.  Nail Tip Extensions or popularly called U Tip Hair Extensions are applied to the hair by a hair stylist, using heat compressors that attach the extension to your hair. For stronger attachment, the extensions are tipped in a U shape with keratin as a bonding agent that allows your new hair to stay firmly in place. Don't worry about damage to your hair; the heat is even less than that from a standard curling or flat iron and the pressure last for only a few seconds.

Stick Tip Extensions are usually called I Tip Hair Extensions and are perfect for those who wish to avoid having glue melted to their hair. These lace front wig are also tipped with keratin as a bonding agent.  I-tipped hair extensions are attached to your hair using a Micro-Ring process that involves pulling your hair through a small metal loop in the extension base. The attachment process is a lot slower than with the U Tip Extensions, but the end result is beautiful voluminous hair with no melted glue and no heat used – in other words healthy and preserved hair
